Big BLK Mama is an outlet to talk about the joys,
pain, frustration, laughter and love that goes along with being an
ambitious and (hopefully) upwardly mobile mother of color raising
children in the increasingly expensive city of NY.

Bio: Tanya Fields is a 30 something year old mom of four precocious
and bright children currently living in the South Bronx of New York. I
am self employed, the Executive Director & Founder of a burgeoning
non-profit, The BLK ProjeK that facilitates economic development in
disenfranchised hoods by catalyzing women’s leadership and development
thorough food justice, urban agriculture, holistic health living and
community beautification. I am also the CEO of BLK GRL, Inc. the for-
profit counterpart to The BLK ProjeK
