Facebook is following in Twitter’s footsteps by now verifying the pages of businesses, public figures and celebrities. The move came as a welcomed surprise, as Facebook announced the new feature on May 29th 2013. However, just like Twitter, Verified pages will be not be given by request. The Facebook staff will decide which pages will receive the blue check mark Verified badge.
